Thursday NBA Opening Odds
(The Spread) – Three NBA games are on Thursday night’s schedule and a pair of nationally televised games highlight the bill. Continue reading for opening odds, spreads and totals on every NBA game for February 3.
The lone game of the three on Thursday’s NBA schedule that was given an overnight line is the in-state battle between two of the Eastern Conferences best in the Miami Heat (34-14) and the host Orlando Magic (31-18). Tipoff is slated for 8:00PM EST and it will be aired on TNT.
Oddsmakers and online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Magic 1.5-point favorites, while the over-under is set at 195.5. According to the latest trends, Miami is 22-24 against the spread this season while Orlando is 21-27.
Miami is coming into action with a three-game winning streak, the last of which coming via a 117-90 win Monday over the spiraling Cleveland Cavaliers. Orlando has been up and down as of late by trading wins and losses in its last six games, the last of which being a 100-97 loss Monday at Memphis.
Center Dwight Howard leads Orlando with 22.4 points along with 13.6 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. Jason Richardson complements him with 14.1 points per game. LeBron James leads the Heat at 26.0 points, 7.3 assists, and 7.2 rebounds per game.
Later on TNT, the San Antonio Spurs (40-8) are at the Los Angeles Lakers (34-15) in a 10:30PM EST contest between the top two teams in the Western Conference. Also at 10:30PM EST, the Golden State Warriors host the Milwaukee Bucks. Neither game was given an overnight line.
