Cavs looking for eight straight wins
CLEVELAND, OH (TheSpread) – The Cleveland Cavaliers look to win their eighth straight game on Wednesday when they host the Portland Trail Blazers at 7PM ET.
Cleveland is 26-20 on the season, 15-9 at home and 19-27 against the spread. Portland is 32-13 on the year, 12-8 on the road and 24-20-1 against the spread. Portland has won seven of its last eight meetings with Cleveland, covering the spread in five of those eight games. Portland won and covered in the lone meeting this season, a 101-82 victory in Portland on Nov. 4.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cavaliers are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -5.5 points against the Blazers tonight. The over/under total for the game has been set at 204 points.
Cleveland was under .500 at 19-20 but the Cavs have won seven straight, going 6-1 against the spread in this win streak. The Cavs have hit the over in four of the seven wins as well. Portland is coming off a win over Washington this past weekend, but the Blazers are just 2-5 in their last seven. Portland has lost three straight on the road and they are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven as well.
