Cavs look to end six-game skid
LOS ANGELES, CA (TheSpread) – The Cleveland Cavaliers hope to end their six-game losing streak tonight when they hit the road to face the Los Angeles Lakers at 10:30PM ET.
Cleveland is now 19-20 on the season, 8-11 on the road and 13-26 against the spread. Los Angeles is 12-27 on the year, 6-14 at home and 18-18-3 against the spread. These two have yet to meet this season, but they have split their last 10 meetings straight up. The Lakers have covered in three straight against the Cavs. They have hit the over in four of their last six meetings as well.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Cavs are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -5.5 points against the Lakers tonight. The over/under total for the game has been set at 205 points.
Cleveland has not only lost six straight, but nine of its last 10 and the Cavs are 1-9 against the spread in the 10 games. They have lost and failed to cover in four straight road games while hitting the under in their last eight. The Lakers have lost two straight and four of their last five. L.A. is also 1-3 ATS in its last four while hitting the under in six straight. The Lakers are 1-3 ATS in their last four as a single-digit underdog.
