LAST GAME: (Dec. 5). LA CLIPPERS (-8.5) over Dallas, 112-90. The Dallas Mavericks (13-22 SU, 10-19 ATS, 21-14 O/U) have lost three straight including a 100-94 defeat at Utah on Monday, getting 5. The Clippers (27-8 SU, 22-13 ATS, 20-15 O/U) have won two straight, which includes a 115-89 win over Golden State on Saturday, giving 6. The Mavericks visit the Staples Center in Los Angeles to take on the Clippers on Wednesday night at 10:30pmET.

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Clippers as 10.5-point favorites versus the Mavericks while the over/under total is currently sitting at 200.5 points. Dallas is 13-22 overall and 5-15 on the road this season, while Los Angeles is 27-8 overall and 17-3 at home.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Mavericks opened as 10-point road underdogs but the line has been bet up a half point to 10.5. As for the total, it's gone from 199 up to 200.5.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 66% of NBA public bettors currently favor the Clippers. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

NBA FREE PICK: Take Dallas. According to latest NBA trends, Dallas is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a ATS loss. Even with Dirk Nowitzki back, the Mavs are struggling to get it together. They take on the NBA's best team by record in the Los Angeles Clippers, (27-8), who won a club-record 17 straight overall before back-to-back road losses at Denver and Golden State Jan. 1-2. The Clippers may again be playing without shooting guard Jamal Crawford, who is questionable after missing the last two games with a foot injury. Crawford, who had a game-high 20 points in the first meeting against Dallas (13-22), ranks among the top-scoring reserves in the NBA at 16.5 points per game. After scoring 11 points or fewer in his first five games back from knee surgery, Nowitzki has put up at least 19 in his last three. The Mavericks have begun showing some signs of life offensively as Nowitzki has rounded into form, averaging 100.5 points on 45.6 percent shooting in January. They had averaged 92.3 points while shooting 42.5 percent in their final nine games in December. With Crawford out or not 100% and Nowitzki getting his game back, expect this game to be a lot closer than the double digit spread.
