BC-CAR--NASCAR-HAMLIN'S REBOUND
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Denny Hamlin is just fine, but thanks for asking. After losing the 2010 championship, he stumbled through last season and most everyone believed it was because Hamlin was unable to emotionally cope with the disappointment of losing the title. He's determined this year to show he's not a head case, and he can win a Sprint Cup title. By Auto Racing Writer Jenna Fryer.
BC-CAR--NASCAR-DAYTONA 500-FUEL INJECTION
Jack Roush once was known the most hands-on car owner in the NASCAR garage. It wouldn't be odd to walk into the garage on a race weekend and see Roush under the hood, fiddling with one of his cars' carburetors. But with the advent of electronic fuel injection in NASCAR this season, Roush jokes that the level of technology in NASCAR finally has exceeded his ability to tinker. After holding onto carburetor technology for decades beyond when they were regularly used in passenger cars, NASCAR finally is making the switch to electronic fuel injection this season. The transition has mostly flown under the radar during Daytona Speedweeks - a sign that it's working. By Chris Jenkins.
CAR--NASCAR-PASTRANA'S PROGRESS
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Travis Pastrana arrived in Daytona for NASCAR's annual Media Day last week and has been hanging around ever since. And he hasn't stepped foot in a race car. Pastrana watched the exhibition Budweiser Shootout from the stands, stuck around for several practice sessions and even spent two off days in the oceanside city. Why? Well, the extreme sports star is trying to soak in as much as possible before making his NASCAR debut in April. By Mark Long.
