LOS ANGELES (AP) - Former All-Star outfielder Lenny Dykstra is scheduled to be sentenced in Los Angeles for hiding and selling sports memorabilia and other items that were supposed to be part of his bankruptcy filing.
Federal prosecutors are asking for a 2 1/2-year prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud and money laundering charges.
Monday's sentencing is the latest in a series of problems for Dykstra, who has had a host of legal problems over the past year.
Dykstra is currently serving a three-year prison sentence after pleading no contest to grand theft auto and providing a false financial statement. He also was sentenced this year to nine months in jail after pleading no contest to charges he exposed himself to women he met through Craigslist.
