BALTIMORE (AP) -The Orioles-Athletics game postponed because of rain this month will not be made up.
Baltimore and Oakland are not in the playoff race, and because the A’s would have a difficult time returning to Baltimore, Major League Baseball determined the game should be canceled.
The game originally was supposed to have played Sept. 7, but because the Baltimore Ravens were at home that day, the game was rescheduled for Sept. 6 as the first part of a day-night doubleheader. However, rain from Hurricane Hanna forced the postponement of the day game.
