CHICAGO (AP) -White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko still isn’t sure when his sprained right knee will heal enough to let him play.
“No predictions,” Konerko said Sunday.
Guillen has said he hopes Konerko, who hurt himself during Tuesday’s doubleheader against Toronto, will be able to play when the White Sox visit the Yankees this week.
“It feels better,” Konerko said. “It’s a little sore, but that’s it.”
Konerko, who was on the disabled list earlier this year with a side injury, was coming out of a season-long slump. He was batting .356 in his previous 28 games and raised his average from .212 to .244.
