CHICAGO (AP) -Minnesota Twins backup catcher Jose Morales left Saturday's game against the White Sox after slipping at second base in the fifth inning.
Morales was advancing to second after Jason Tyner put down a bunt single. Morales lost his footing and injured his left ankle. He was helped off the field by two Minnesota trainers.
Morales had his contract purchased from Triple-A Rochester on Friday and made his first major league start Saturday. He was 3-for-3 and collected his first major league hit in the second inning.
