WASHINGTON (AP) -The Philadelphia Phillies recalled pitchers Adam Eaton and J.A. Happ from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, and purchased the contracts of outfielder Greg Golson and catcher Lou Marson from Double-A Reading Monday before their game against the Washington Nationals.
The right-handed Eaton was 4-8 with a 5.80 ERA in 19 starts with Philadelphia before being sent to the minors on July 28. Happ, a lefty, has appeared in three games for the Phillies, going 0-0 with a 5.54 ERA.
After the Phillies’ 7-4 loss to Washington, Philadelphia brought up three more players from Lehigh Valley, recalling infielders Mike Cervenak and Andy Tracy and purchasing the contract of left-handed pitcher Les Walrond. All three have previously played with Philadelphia this season.
To make room for Walrond on the 40-man roster, infielder Oscar Robles was designated for assignment.
