MIAMI (AP) -The Florida Marlins activated pitcher Andrew Miller and outfielder Brett Carroll from the disabled list on Monday.
The Marlins made room on the 40-man roster by placing catcher Mike Rabelo on the 60-day DL.
Miller was 1-0 with a 2.33 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 19 1-3 innings in six rehab games. He gave up five earned runs, allowing 14 hits and four walks. The left-hander went on the 15-day DL on July 18 with tendinitis in his right knee.
Carroll had been on the 60-day DL with a right shoulder sprain. He went 12-for-79 with two doubles, two home runs and nine RBI in 20 rehab games. He was 1-for-16 in 15 games with the Marlins prior to going on the DL on May 24.
