ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -The Texas Rangers recalled right-hander Scott Feldman from Triple-A Oklahoma and designated catcher Adam Melhuse for assignment before Thursday night's game against the Seattle Mariners.
Feldman is in his sixth stint with the Rangers this season. In 25 relief appearances, he was 1-2 with a 6.00 ERA. At Oklahoma, Feldman is 1-1 with 4.50 ERA with two saves in 25 appearances.
Melhuse joined the Rangers on June 9 in a trade with Oakland. In 23 games with Texas, he batted .206 (14-for-68) with three doubles, one home run and 7 RBI.
