 DENVER (AP) -Colorado Rockies first baseman Jeff Baker was hit above the left eye by a pitch thrown by Chicago Cubs starter Jason Marquis with two out in the seventh inning Friday night.
Baker left the game with a towel covering his left forehead and eye. No update was given on his condition.
Marquis left the game after the pitch and gave way to right-hander Carlos Marmol, who ended the inning with the Cubs leading 5-1.
