LOS ANGELES (AP) Clayton Kershaw’s next start for the Los Angeles Dodgers has been bumped to Saturday, and Zack Greinke has been moved up to start Friday night against the Angels.
The Dodgers announced the switch Friday about four hours before the Freeway Series opener.
Kershaw has a streak of 29 consecutive scoreless innings. His next start already had been delayed from Wednesday due to soreness in his left hip.
Greinke’s streak of 45 2-3 consecutive scoreless innings ended Sunday against the Mets. He will pitch Friday night on regular rest for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers also added their recent trade acquisitions to their active roster: left-hander Alex Wood and relievers Jim Johnson and Luis Avilan.
Los Angeles put third baseman Justin Turner on the 15-day disabled list with a right thigh infection.
