WASHINGTON (AP) - Washington Nationals left-hander Ross Detwiler will miss at least two more starts as he deals with a lower back strain.
Manager Davey Johnson said Detwiler wasn't able to throw a full bullpen session Saturday and that ``nothing so far has worked'' in the effort to treat the problem.
The Nationals anticipated that Detwiler would return from the disabled list after the All-Star break, restoring the team's regular five-man rotation.
Instead, Taylor Jordan will remain with the club and start Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Nationals will also need a fill-in starter for Friday's doubleheader against the New York Mets.
Detwiler is 2-7 with a 4.04 ERA. He has struggled since returning last month from a stint on the DL for a right oblique strain.
