WASHINGTON (AP) -Left-hander Tom Martin was designated for assignment by the Colorado Rockies after Thursday night's 5-4 loss to the Washington Nationals.
The Rockies recalled right-hander Ramon Ramirez from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Martin pitched Thursday, getting one out and walking two batters. He had no decisions and a 4.91 ERA in 26 games this season.
Ramirez was 2-1 with a 10.22 ERA in 15 games earlier this season with the Rockies. He went 4-0 with a 2.49 ERA in 20 appearances, all in relief, at Colorado Springs.
