CHICAGO (AP) -Carlos Zambrano allowed three hits over 6 2-3 scoreless innings and had two singles and an RBI as Chicago beat Houston 6-0 on Friday, the Cubs' 13th win in 17 games.
Zambrano (11-7) left with the bases loaded in the seventh. Carlos Marmol relieved and got Eric Munson on a fly ball to center.
The Astros, who committed four errors, made two on the same play in the fourth when the Cubs scored three runs off Jason Jennings (1-5).
With a run in and a runner on second, third baseman Mike Lamb fumbled a grounder and then threw low to first for an error. First baseman Lance Berkman airmailed a throw over the third base dugout for another error. Zambrano then had an RBI single for a 3-0 lead.
Jennings went 5 1-3 innings, allowing 10 hits and four runs.
