 CINCINNATI (AP) -The Arizona Diamondbacks optioned OF Carlos Quentin to Triple-A Tucson and recalled OF Jeff Salazar from Tucson on Friday.
Salazar was acquired by waivers from Colorado before the season and has hit .301 with eight home runs and 50 RBIs in 83 games for Tucson. In his only previous major league experience, he hit .283 with one home run and eight RBIs in 19 games with the Rockies last season.
Quentin has hit .210 in 66 games with five home runs and 28 RBIs in 66 games with the Diamondbacks.
