 WASHINGTON (AP) - The Atlanta Braves have placed Gavin Floyd on the 15-day disabled list after the right-hander broke a bone in his elbow.
The Braves made the move Friday. The team also recalled left-hander Ryan Buchter from Triple-A Gwinnett.
Floyd broke the olecranon - the bony tip of the ulna that sticks out behind the elbow - as he made the first pitch of the seventh inning in Thursday night's 3-0 win over the Washington Nationals.
Floyd returned to Atlanta on Friday to be examined by team doctors.
