DETROIT (AP) -The Detroit Tigers optioned left-hander Andrew Miller to Double-A Erie after Tuesday night’s 6-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels.
Miller, the team’s No. 1 draft pick last June, made one start, going six innings Friday night against St. Louis for his first major league win.
He replaced the injured Jeremy Bonderman in the rotation. Bonderman is on the 15-day disabled list with a blister on the middle finger of his right hand, but is expected to be activated in time for his next scheduled start Thursday.
