ATLANTA (AP) -Braves pitcher Tom Glavine has been placed on the disabled list for the first time in his 22-year career because of a strained right hamstring that needs more time to heal.
The 42-year-old left-hander had hoped to start Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, six days after leaving a start at Washington in the first inning. But he was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday night, retroactive to April 14.
