SEATTLE (AP) -The Mariners have avoided salary arbitration with Horacio Ramirez and signed the left-handed starter to a one-year contract.
It will pay the 28-year-old $2.75 million with a chance to earn $300,000 more in performance bonuses.
Ramirez made $2.65 million last year when he had an 8-7 record with a 7.16 ERA in 20 games.
