Jones defeats Evans
ATLANTA, Georgia (TheSpread) – Jon Jones proved once again he is the top light heavyweight in the world on the Saturday, as he easily disposed of Rashad Evans at UFC 145.

In the main event from the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Jones defeated Evans by unanimous decision after out-striking the former champion for the duration of the bout. Jones used his length to pick apart Evans, utilizing a number of key elbows and kicks to slowly wear Evans down. While Evans hit a couple of punches and a good head kick in the bout, Jones was never in real danger.
According to oddsmakers, Jones had odds of -505 to win Saturday’s bout, which means a $505 wager on Jones will pay out an additional $100.
In the co-main event, Rory MacDonald defeated Che Mills by second round TKO. MacDonald, who is only 22, survived an early striking storm from Mills and scored a takedown to turn the tide. Once MacDonald got the fight to the ground, he unleashed a flurry of punches and elbows that left Mills bloody and battered. In the second round, a fatigued Mills put up little fight, and MacDonald continued his ground and pound to earn the stoppage. MacDonald had odds of -500 to beat Mills, which means a wager of $500 on MacDonald will pay out an additional $100
