NEW ORLEANS, LA (The Spread) – The Warriors are now one victory away from sweeping the Pelicans after Stephen Curry helped Golden State beat New Orleans, 123-119.
Curry hit one of the most clutch shots in recent NBA history to send Thursday nights’ game into overtime. He finished with 40 points, five rebounds, nine assists and seven three-pointers in 44 minutes of play as the Warriors put themselves in position to sweep the Pelicans in Game 4 on Saturday.
While Golden State leads this series 3-0, the Warriors have yet to cover the spread in each of their victories over the Pelicans. They won Game 1 106-99 but failed to cover as a 12.5-point favorite and won Game 2 97-87 but failed to cover as a 13-point fave. Last night they were only a 5.5-point favorite and could muster a cover for bettors then either.
Game 4 is set for 8:00PM ET Saturday night in New Orleans and while the line for the game isn’t out, one could surmise that Golden State will be favored again on the road.
