Dubai W.C. Picks

The event is full with the top players from the European Tour, and our team of writers and handicappers have three suggested picks for the event.

Bet PGA Odds

Rory McIlroy 9/1
This young golfer has been on quite a hot streak, finishing in the top five in his last three events. McIlroy has a slight lead in the money list over Lee Westwood, so he has plenty to play for in order to win the Order of Merit, which is given to the money leader following the season. With this being the last event, McIlroy needs to be on top of his game.
Lee Westwood 14/1
For many of the same reasons as McIlroy, this is a big event for Westwood, who should treat the tournament like a major championship. Westwood has been consistently in the top 10 in his most recent events, which has given him a chance to win. Expect the same this weekend as he looks for his second win of the year.
Padraig Harrington 18/1
Because Harrington splits time between the European and PGA Tours, he is not in the running to win the season playoffs, but that can be an advantage to you. Since he is in the outside looking, Harrington has been given longer odds than usual with 18/1. Harrington is still one of the top golfers in the world and his resume is much more impressive than any other golfer in the field. Harrington has played well to end 2009 and is a strong play this weekend given his odds.
The 2009 Dubai World Championship will be played at The DP World, Earth Course in Dubai, U.A.E. starting on Thursday, Nov. 19 and concluding Sunday, Nov. 22.
