According to oddsmakers. Ryan Briscoe is the favorite to win this race with 4/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Dario Franchitti and Scott Dixon, who each have 5/1 odds. This is the first time this event is taking place since 2000.

Briscoe is sixth in the point standings, 209 points behind Franchitti for first place. Briscoe has four top 5’s and 10 top 10’s this year, but has not recorded a win on the season.

Franchitti has a 18-point lead over Will Power entering this final race of the season. Franchitti has four wins and 13 top 5’s this year. He has led a total of 843 laps on the season.
