Brazilian G.P. Odds
The 2009 Formula 1 season continues on
Sunday with the Brazilian Grand Prix
from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Heading
into Sunday’s race, Sebastian Vettel
is the favorite to take the checker flag.
Vettel has
opened with 1/1 odds to win according to the online
sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Other short odds are Lewis Hamilton (9/4),Rubens Barrichello
(5/1), and Mark
Webber (7/1).
Of the
field, only Kimi Raikkonen has
previously won at this track. Raikkonen won the 2007 event and has 14/1 odds
for Sunday’s race.
Vettel
sits third in the points standings right now, 16 points behind leader Jenson Button. Vettel is coming off a
win in the Japanese Grand Prix two
weeks ago and has finished in the top 10 in his last four races.
Hamilton
sits sixth in the standings, 42 points behind Button. Hamilton has finished in
the top three in his last two races, including a win in the Singapore Grand Prix on Sept. 27.
Hamilton has two wins on the year.
Barrichello
is in second in the standings, 14 points behind Button. Barrichello has
finished outside the top 10 just once this year and has been inside the top
seven in his last five races, including two victories.
Webber is
fourth in the standings, 33.5 points behind Button. Webber has finished outside
the top 15 in his last three races, but has one win and three second-place
finishes in 2009.
