With the FedEx Cup concluding last weekend, most of the top players are taking this week off, leaving the field for this week’s event very competitive. The names aren’t very familiar, but this weekend could provide a young golfer with a chance to breakout and build momentum for the 2010 season.

Dustin Johnson 15/1

Johnson won this event a year ago and is ranked 40th in the world. Johnson has been consistent as of late, breaking the top 30 in his last six events. Johnson finished in the top 30 of the FedEx Cup standings, who he has been playing through very competitive fields as of late, which should help him contend this weekend.

Rory Sabbatini 33/1

Sabbatini is ranked 42nd in the world currently and is coming off an 18th place finish in the BMW Championship two weeks ago. Sabbatini has one win on the year and has finished in the top 10 on four occasions in 2009.

Justin Rose 33/1

Rose ranks 62nd in the world right now and has finished in the top 20 five times in 2009. Rose is winless on the year, but at 33/1 odds, is a strong play for this less-talented field.

The 2009 Turning Stone Resort Championship will be played at Atunyote starting on Thursday, Oct. 1 and concluding Sunday, Oct. 4.
