Deutsche Round 2 Odds

The first round of the 2009 Deutsche Bank Championship is in the books, and Steve Stricker and Jim Furyk are tied atop the leader board.

Stricker and Furyk each shot an 8-under 63 on Friday, and Stricker is now the favorite to win this weekend’s event.

Stricker is now a 9/2 favorite to win according to the online sports book SBGGLOBAL. Other short odds to win are Furyk (11/2), Tiger Woods (6/1), Padraig Harrington (12/1), and Retief Goosen (16/1).

Stricker had a bogey-free round on Friday, and birdied the first four holes to help establish and early lead that he didn’t relinquish on the day. Stricker will tee off in round two with Woods at 1:10PM ET.

Furyk also went  bogey-free on Friday and birdied the first four holes and the last two holes of his round to shoot the 63. Furyk will tee off at 8:16 a.m.

Woods carded a 1-under 70 to finished tied for 48th place with 16 other golfers. Woods had just three birdies on the day, but did birdie the 18th hole to cap his round.

Harrington shot a 4-under 67 on Friday to finish tied for 13th. Harrington eagled the 18th hole to set up his round.

Goosen is tied for third at 6-under. Goosen also eagled the 18th hole to finish his day with a 65.
