According to oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTS BETTING, Slocum entered the tournament with 175/1 odds to win, meaning a $100 bet on Slocum will pay out $17,500.

Slocum finished 9-under overall and shot a 4-under 67 on Sunday to get the victory in the first tournament of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. An eagle on the fifth hole set up Slocum’s round, but five-straight pars to end the day allowed him to avoid the pile up of golfers at 8-under.

Els shot a 5-under 66 on Sunday to get the early clubhouse lead, but it didn’t hold up. Woods, Harrington, and Stricker all had chances to get to 9-under, but couldn’t manage. Stricker was at 9-under heading into the 18th hole, but a bogey five kept him from forcing a playoff.

The FedEx Cup Playoffs continue on Thursday with the Deutsche Bank Championship.
