European G.P. Odds

The Formula 1 series returns to action on Sunday, Aug. 23 for the European Grand Prix in Valencia, Spain and Lewis Hamilton is the pre-race favorite to win.

Bet the 2009 European Grand Prix

Hamilton opens as a 2/1 favorite for the race according to the online sports book SPORTS BETTING. Other short odds are Sebastien Vettel (11/4), Jenson Button (3/1), and Mark Webber (3/1).

Hamilton currently sits eighth in the Formula 1 standings, but is coming off a win in the Hungarian Grand Prix back on July 26. It was Hamilton’s first win of 2009 and the 10th of his career.

Vettel is in third place in the F1 standings, 23 points behind Button. Vettel has two wins on the year and two second-place finishes.

Button has five wins in 2009, which has allowed him to take a commanding lead in the Formula 1 standings. Button has been winless in his last three races.

Webber is second to Button in the standings, 19.5 points behind. Webber has one win on the year and his finished in the top two in the last two races.
