PGA Round 4 Odds
The 2009 PGA Championship has just one round remaining and Tiger Woods is holding on to a two-stroke lead entering Sunday.
Woods shot a 1-under 71 on Saturday to keep the lead in the final major of 2009 with a total of -8, but his four-stroke lead is now down to two as Padraig Harrington and Y.E. Yang are both at -6. Sunday’s final round will emanate from Hazeltine in Chaska, Minn.
After opening with a line of 3/2, Woods is an odds on favorite at 2/9 according to the online sports book SBG Global. Woods’ odds have actually decreased following Saturday’s round, as he entered the third round at 1/5 odds to win.
Woods has never lost a major championship after leading through three rounds, but with each day, Woods’ scores have gotten higher and higher. Woods is still yet to have a round over par in the tournament, but a 71 may not be enough to win on Sunday.
Harrington stormed into the hunt on Saturday after shooting a 69. Harrington was bogey free in his round until the 18th hole. In his career, Harrington has never had a bogey-free round in the PGA Championship.
Yang was a relative unknown, but climbed up the leader board on moving day thanks to a 5-under par 67. Yang made birdies on holes 14-16 to cap off the great day.
Henrik Stenson and Lucas Glover are also in contention at -4. Stenson shot a 68 on Saturday to put himself in position to contend for the championship.
