Men's Pole Vault Odds

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Renaud Lavillenie is favored, as he is getting odds of -475 to win. Other short odds to prevail are Sam Kendricks (+450) and Shawnacy Barber (+525). The Rio Olympics continue today through Aug. 21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Lavillenie competes for France. He won the gold medal in the 2012 Olympics, but finished third at the 2015 World Championships. His top vault is a world record of 6.05 meters.
Kendricks competes for the United States. He took second at the 2016 World Indoor Championships. He also finished ninth in the 2015 World Championships. His personal best in the event is 5.92 meters.
Barber competes for Canada. He is seeking his first Olympic medal in this event and he won the 2015 World Championship. His top vault in this event is 5.93 meters.
