It is still always tough to pick against the clear No. 1 player in the world. Woods is coming off a three-stroke victory at the Buick Open and has won 13 of his last 23 events, a winning percentage of .565. Woods has only finished outside of the top 10 in two events since 2008 and is a six-time winner of this event, with his last two victories coming in 2007 and 2006.
Steve Stricker 33/1
Stricker has won two events in 2009 and is currently ranked sixth in the world and second in the PGA Tour FedExCup list. Stricker has seven top 10 finishes in 2009 and missed just two cuts on the year. Stricker has made the cut at this event in the last two years and is poised to establish himself as one of the best in the world.
Sergio Garcia 40/1
Garcia currently sits fifth in the world rankings and after three wins in 2008, is looking for his first win of 2009. Garcia has just missed two cuts in his last 33 events and has 14 top 10 finishes in that span. Garcia has made the cut in the last six event at Firestone Country Club and has been in the top 20 three times.
The 2009 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational will be played at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio starting on Thursday, Aug. 6 and concluding Sunday, Aug. 9.
