It’s really no surprise that China is the dominant force in the odds in diving. Of the eight events, China is the favorite to win in all eight, and in most, as the heavy favorite to win gold. In the individual events, China has two of the top three favorites in three of the four competitions.

China won gold in seven of the eight events at the 2008 Olympics and took home an amazing total of 11 medals in diving that year. In the history of the Olympics, China has won a total of 27 gold medals, while the United States has won 48. But, those numbers don’t reflect recent numbers because China also won the gold in six of eight events at the 2004 Olympics. At the 2011 World Championships in Diving, there were 10 events, and China won all 10.

The 2012 Summer Olympics will take place from London, England from July 27 through August 12 of this summer. For the complete odds to win each Diving Event, see below.
