UFC 100 Odds

UFC 100 is being built up as the biggest MMA card of all time, it features two championship bouts as well as six other intriguing fights including a matchup of the two coaches from the last Ultimate Fighter season.

Bet UFC 100

UFC Heavyweight Championship

The main event of the evening is the rematch between powerful wrestler and UFC Champion Brock Lesnar (3-1), versus the only man to beat him, Interim-Heavyweight and jiu-jitsu specialist, Frank Mir (12-3). Mir is almost a 2-1 underdog in this matchup despite already defeating Lesnar with a round one tap-out in Lesnar’s first match in the UFC. In their first fight Lesnar looked good early but made a rookie mistake which cost him the fight, since then Lesnar has improved, recently dominating the much smaller Randy Couture to win the Heavyweight Belt.

Mir won the Interim Heavyweight Championship by defeating Antonio Nogueira at UFC 92 with a second round TKO. Nogueira previously was given the Interim Belt when Couture retired, after Couture’s return it was decided that Nogueira would fight Mir with the winner fighting the winner of Lesnar-Couture for the Unified belt. The Champion will be crowned this Saturday night, oddsmakers have made Lesnar a -250 favorite to get revenge against Mir.

Welterweight Championship

The co-main event features Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre (18-2) as a -340 favorite against Thiago Alves (22-4). St-Pierre (28 years old) has defended his title twice so far, against John Fitch and BJ Penn, while Thiago (25 years old) has won three fights in a row against Josh Koscheck, Matt Hughes and Karo Parisyan. St-Pierre is a force on the ground and is thought of by many as the best pound for pound MMA fighter in the world, on the other hand Alves is a dangerous striker who cannot be counted out.

Ultimate Fighter Faceoff

The third major draw on this card features the two coaches from the latest season of Ultimate Fighter as Michael Bisping (18-1) faces off against the -215 favorite, Dan Henderson (24-7). Henderson is almost 39 years old but is an MMA legend, has never been knocked out and has beaten some of the best, including Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort. Bisping on the other hand is 30 years old, talented and very confident, with his sole loss coming against Rashad Evans. Many bettors believe Bisping as a +175 underdog has too much value to pass up on against the aging veteran Henderson. Others point to Bisping’s struggles against Evans and Matt Hamill, both very good wrestlers, as a reason why Henderson who is a better wrestler than both will win the fight.
