John Deere Picks
The 2010 John Deere Classic golf tournament begins on Thursday and our team of writers and handicappers have three suggested plays for the tournament.
Steve Stricker 15/1
As the defending champion, Stricker knows this course well and knows he can play well on it. Stricker has been pretty consistent this year and has contended in most tournaments he has played in. Looking to build on his 2010 campaign, Stricker should be in the running for his second win of the year on Sunday.
Tim Clark 20/1
Clark is the highest-rated player in the event based on the current FedEx Cup Standings. Clark sits in seventh and he already has one win on the year. With a field that is pretty wide open and no clear-cut top contenders, Clark comes in with solid odds and the right style of play to win this event.
Kenny Perry 25/1
A former champion of this event, Perry has lower odds than usual because of the thin field, but 25/1 still provides a solid payout if Perry is able to come through. Looking to make his first big splash of the year, look for Perry to turn in a competitive performance and be in the hunt come Sunday.
The 2010 John Deere Classic will take place at TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois and it starts on Thursday, July 8.
