Updated Tour de France Odds
The Tour de France has completed a pair of hilly stages. How has the outlook for the race changed entering Stage 3?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Chris Froome remains the favorite, as he has -115 odds to take this year’s championship. Other short odds to win are Nairo Quintana (+135) and Fabio Aru (+1200). Stage 3 is a 138.9-mile, flat course from Granville to Angers and takes place early Monday morning.
The second stage had Peter Sagan get the victory, edging the field. He was followed by Julian Alaphilippe and Alejandro Valverde. The win gave Sagan control of the Yellow Jersey, as he has an 8-second lead on Alaphilippe for the overall lead.
Froome came in 10th on Saturday, which was a good showing for him. He now sits fifth in the overall standings, 14 seconds outside of first place. Quintana is in seventh place, just decimals of a second behind Froome while Aru is in 11th place overall.
