Austrian Grand Prix Picks
The Formula 1 Series kicks off a busy Sunday of sports with the Austrian Grand Prix. Here are some of the drivers we like to win tomorrow morning.
The Austrian Grand Prix takes place on Sunday at 8AM ET from Red Bull Ring. The race is a 190-mile contest that will run 71 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Lewis Hamilton is a -200 favorite to win this race. Other short odds to win are Nico Rosberg (+450) and Sebastian Vettel (+900).
You can’t rightfully pick against Lewis Hamilton in any F1 race right now. Though he hasn’t won the Austrian Grand prix, he is the two-time defending series champion. He racked up 21 wins over the 2014 and 2015 seasons and has two wins in 2016. Look for him to again be the leader on Sunday.
Nico Rosberg is also a must-pick when it comes to F1. He and Hamilton have been in close competition for the last two years and he currently has an edge in the point standings. Rosberg has five wins in eight races this year and he had six wins last year. He is the two-time defending champion of this race as well.
Felipe Massa is a long shot on Sunday with +12500 odds. However, he finished third behind Rosberg and Hamilton in this race last year and he has been competitive this season, finished no worse than 10th in all but one race. It’s been some time since he has won, but this has been a good track for him and a crash or mistake from the two leaders could open the door for a big upset.
