Public Betting Information

According to oddsmakers, Germany is a -500 favorite to win on the moneyline. South Korea is a +1300 underdog, while a bet on a draw is set at +600. The total is listed at 3.5 goals.

Kroos saves Germany

On a free kick in the 95th minute, Germany star Toni Kroos hooked a blast into the net against Sweden and save his squad with a 2-1 victory. Now with four points, Germany can advance today with a win over South Korea or a draw plus a Sweden loss. Germany fell behind 1-0 in the 32nd minute last game, but rallied with a goal from Marco Reus in the 48th minute. The game stood at 1-1 until Kroos made one of the highlight plays of this World Cup. Germany held 71 percent of the possession in the contest, resulting in 16 shots (five on goal). The Germans managed eight corner kicks and were handed a red card in the 82nd minute, given to Jerome Boateng.

South Korea not quite dead

The South Koreans are a huge longshot to make it to the knockout stage, but its hopes are not completely gone. If South Korean somehow beat Germany by two or more goals and Sweden loses, it would punch its ticket to the knockout stage. South Korea lost its last game 2-1 to Mexico, falling behind by two goals before a score by Son Heung-Min in the 93rd minute put it on the board. South Korea held 42 percent of the possession, but actually outshot Mexico by a count of 17-13. Six of South Korea's shots were on goal.

This game should be all Germany. While the Germans have looked shaky so far and are lucky to not be in complete desperation mode, it will be facing its easiest opponent so far and should overwhelm South Korea. If Germany isn't motivated here, I don't know what to tell you. Bet on the -2 goal lins.
