Denmark vs. France Prediction

World Cup: Denmark vs. France 6/26/18, Prediction & Odds

France has qualified for the knockout stage but can win Group C with a victory today, while Denmark would qualify for the round of 16 with a win of its own. Which side will rise to the occasion and make bettors happy?

According to oddsmakers, France is a +105 favorite to win on the moneyline. Denmark is a +370 underdog, while a draw bet is set at +170. The total sits at 2 goals.

Denmark unable to hold on for win vs. Australia

Denmark is in a good position to advance, but must not lose by two or more goals today versus France. If it does, Australia would move on as long as it defeats Peru. A victory would qualify Denmark for the knockout stage and win the group outright, while it would still finish second in the group with a draw. Denmark could only garner a 1-1 draw with Australia on Thursday as it scored in the sixth minute on a goal by Christian Eriksen, but conceded a PK goal in the 38th minute.

The French have looked impressive through two games, using a strong defensive performance to record a 1-0 win versus Peru on Thursday. Kylian Mbappe scored the game's only goal in the 34th minute. France only held 44 percent of the possession and went into a shell after its goal. France had 12 shots in the game (four on goal), while Peru managed 10 shots (two on goal). France was called for 12 fouls including two yellow cards.

France can play a little more wide open knowing it has qualified for the knockout stage, but it certainly wants the top spot in the group and a win or draw. This will likely be a defensive battle, but I think France has enough to see this one out as a victory. Go with the favored team here to earn a clean sweep in Group C.
