Olympic Men's 100M Dash Odds
LONDON, England (TheSpread) – Usain Bolt is still considered the fastest man in the world. He will have to defend that honor in the 100 Meter Dash at the 2012 Olympics.
According to oddsmakers, Bolt is the clear favorite to win gold in this event, as he has 2/5 odds to win. Other short odds to win this race are Yohan Blake (7/2) and Tyson Gay (7/1).
Bolt claimed the gold at the 2008 Olympics in this event and also won gold in the 200 meter and 4x100 meter relay.
Like Bolt, Blake is representing Jamaica in this Olympic games. He is actually the 2011 World Champion in the 100 meter dash and the 4X100 meter relay. Bolt was disqualified in the 100 meter race, which opened the door for Blake to win.
Gay is considered the top American sprinter. He was the 2007 world champion in the 100 meter dash. At the 2008 Olympics, a hamstring injury kept him from contending for any medals against Bolt.
