PGA Travelers Picks
The 2010 Travelers Championship golf tournament begins on Thursday and our team of writers and handicappers have three suggested plays for the tournament.
Padraig Harrington 14/1
Harrington is the top player in the field in terms of rankings on golf accomplishments. This year, Harrington has three top 10 finishes and one top three. He is winless, but due for a breakout as he is a consistent winner on the tour. At 14/1 odds, Harrington is a nice play for this weekend.
Stewart Cink 25/1
Cink is also a player in this event that has had a lot of golf accomplishments and has the experience that the field lacks. Cink has made his last four cuts and finished 40th or better in those events. Cink has four top 10’s on the year and with 25/1 odds, Cink is a solid play.
Ricky Barnes 40/1
Barnes has been a consistent player this year as he has five top 10’s, two of which have come in his last three events. Barnes was in contention at the U.S. Open before finishing 27th. Barnes has been a fast riser since contending for the 2009 U.S. Open and this week could be when he breaks out with a win.
The 2010 Travelers Championship will take place at TPC at River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut and it starts on Thursday, June 24.
