Franchitti won this race in 2007 and 2009 but he finished 18th last year. Franchitti is currently second in the point standings. He has three victories on the year.

Dixon has finished in the top 10 of this race every year it has been run, but he has never finished better than fourth. This year, Dixon is fourth in the standings. He is winless in 2011 but has four top 5’s.
