According to oddsmakers, Belgium is a -455 favorite to win on the moneyline. Panama is a +1400 underdog, while a draw is set at +525. The over-under is set at 2.5 goals.
Lukaku set to star
Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is the highest-profile player on his national team as he is one of the top goal scorers for Manchester United in the Premier League. Lukaku scored 34 goals in 50 games during the 2017-18 campaign and is poised to carry over that inate ability to find the back of the net in the World Cup. How well he plays will be directly tied to how far Belgium advances in the tournament.
Panama makes first World Cup appearance
As a massive underdog and in its first World Cup, Panama is probably just happy to be here. Roman Torres, who is a defender for the Seattle Sounders in MLS, is a player that scored the goal that qualified Panama for the World Cup with a clinching goal. Look for him to be a mainstay on the back end and provide some offense if the situation dictates it.
Prediction:
Panama will be lucky to keep this within one goal. Take the goal line on Belgium if you want a fairly priced bet as a moneyline bet doesn’t give you enough of a return without risking way too much money.
