According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Williams is the clear favorite to win this title, as she has 1/2 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Victoria Azarenka (7/1) and Maria Sharapova (15/2).
Williams is a five-time winner of Wimbledon and she has a total of 16 grand slam title. Williams has won three of the last four grand slam events and three of the last four Wimbledons.
Azarenka is a two-time grand slam winner, but she has never won the Wimbledon title. Azarenka has not even reached the finals of Wimbledon in her career.
Sharapova is a one-time Wimbledon winner, but that was back in 2004. She has won four grand-slam titles in her career, but she has made the finals in just four of her last 19 grand slam events.
