Monday's W. Cup Picks
Along with key trends for each game, our team of writers and handicappers hand out their picks and predictions Monday, June 14, 2010 in the FIFA World Cup.
Holland vs. Denmark, 7:30AM ET
Holland is a team to truly consider as a potential World Cup winner this year and it would be hard to find a team that has played better in the last few years. Denmark has some promise, but this game should likely be similar in result to what Germany did to Australia.

Japan vs. Cameroon, 10AM ET
This should be a competitive match where a draw (+225) wouldn’t be out of the question, but Cameroon is poise to make a splash in this World Cup and we like them to win with about even odds.

Italy vs. Paraguay, 2:30PM ET
Paraguay has gotten a lot of buzz coming into the World Cup as it had a pretty solid qualifying run and has had some upset wins in friendly competition. Italy is the defending cup champion, but repeating is a very tough task and opening with a hungry team like Paraguay could cause some problems. We don’t have enough confidence to pick an outright upset, but consider wagering on the draw (+220). If you need an outright winner, we have to lean toward Italy in tough game.
