Westwood wins playoff

It took a little luck and a lot of endurance, but Lee Westwood pulled out a victory Sunday in the 2010 St. Jude Classic after four playoff holes.

Westwood held off Robert Karlsson in the playoff and finally got past him on the fourth playoff hole. Both men finished at -10 for the tournament.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL, Westwood had 12/1 odds to win the event, meaning a $100 bet on Westwood will pay out $1,200.

The playoff was almost never possible as Robert Garrigus had a three shot lead on the final hole of the tournament, but posted a triple bogey on the 72nd hole to set up the three-man playoff. Garrigus was then eliminated from contention on the first playoff hole with a bogey.

The trio finished one shot ahead of Shaun Micheel and Garrett Willis, who each tied for fourth.
