Canadian Grand Prix Predictions
The Formula 1 Series will be driving north of the border on Sunday afternoon for the Canadian Grand Prix. Which drivers will be the top contenders to win this race?
The Canadian Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 2PM ET from Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The race is a 189-mile contest that will run 70 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers, Lewis Hamilton is the favorite in this race, as he has +150 odds. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (+160) and Valtteri Bottas (+700).
51101 Lewis Hamilton +150
Hamilton has dominated this race. He is a six-time winner and three-time defending champion of the event. Already in the current points lead, Hamilton is looking to create more space from his challengers with another win today. He has finished fourth or better in all six races this year and should be the man to beat today.
51120 Sebastian Vettel +160
Vettel also is a former winner of this race, claiming the victory in 2013. He was also second in 2016. Vettel is second in the point standings right now and has finished fourth or better in five of the six races this year. That includes a pair of victories. It’s tough to see Hamilton not winning, but if he is unable to, Vettel is likely the man to beat him.
51102 Valtteri Bottas +700
Bottas is the right man to be third shortest in odds. He has not won the Canadian Grand Prix, but finished second last year and third in both 2016 and 2015. Bottas has a promising year in 2017, finishing third in the point standings. He has followed that up this year with three runner-up finishes. However, he needs a win to really push himself into the mix. This could be the right place for it to happen.
