2010 World Cup Qualifying:

Argentina did just enough to qualify for the World Cup, as it finished fourth in the CONMEBBOL Qualifying Group. Argentina went 8-6-4 in 18 games, finishing behind Brazil, Chile, and Paraguay. Argentina scored 23 goals but allowed 20. Its worst losses during the play came against Columbia and Ecuador.

Betting Analysis:

Argentina will play in Group B for the World Cup, joining Nigeria, South Korea, and Greece. While Argentina shouldn’t have any trouble finishing in the top two of the group, its performance during qualifying has to raise some eyebrows. During friendly competition over the last two years, Argentina has failed to beat top teams like Brazil and Spain, something it will have to do in order to win the Cup. It appears that Argentina is just not consistent enough to put your money on.
